| 背景信息 | C-C motif chemokine ligand 28 (CCL28) is a mucosal chemokine that bridges innate and adaptive immunity. It is constitutively expressed in mucosal tissues, including the colon, salivary glands, and mammary glands, where it is further upregulated by inflammatory cytokines. CCL28 functions as a chemoattractant for eosinophils, IgA+ B cells, and CCR10+ T cells by binding to the CCR3 and CCR10 receptors, thereby facilitating mucosal lymphocyte homing. In addition to its chemotactic properties, the protein exhibits broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, as well as fungi such as Candida albicans. This antimicrobial function is mediated by its positively charged C-terminal domain and is particularly potent under the acidic conditions often found at mucosal surfaces. |
