| 背景信息 | Ninjurin 2 (NINJ2) is a double-pass cell-surface adhesion protein that mediates homophilic interactions to promote neurite and axonal outgrowth. It is significantly upregulated in Schwann cells following nerve injury, indicating a primary role in nerve regeneration. Beyond the nervous system, NINJ2 is involved in modulating cell growth and senescence through a feedback loop with p53, where it is induced by DNA damage and subsequently represses p53 translation. Clinically, NINJ2 is overexpressed in colorectal cancer, where it functions as an oncogenic adaptor for multiple receptor tyrosine kinases. This interaction activates Akt/Erk signaling pathways, driving tumor cell proliferation, survival, and migration, thereby positioning NINJ2 as a potential target in oncological research. |
