| 背景信息 | Leucine zipper protein 4 (LUZP4) is an X-linked cancer-testis antigen that functions as an mRNA nuclear export adapter. It enhances the RNA-binding and export activity of NXF1, facilitating the transport of mature transcripts from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. While its expression is normally restricted to the testis, LUZP4 is frequently upregulated in various malignancies. Clinically, LUZP4 is recognized as an onconeural antigen. Serum LUZP4-IgG autoantibodies are associated with paraneoplastic neurologic syndromes, particularly painful motor-predominant polyradiculoneuropathy in patients with testicular seminoma. The identification of these autoantibodies can serve as a diagnostic marker, and treatment of the underlying tumor often leads to neurological improvement. |
