| 背景信息 | Ankyrin repeat and IBR domain containing 1 (ANKIB1) is a predicted E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that plays a central role in ubiquitin-dependent protein catabolism. Located primarily within the cytoplasm, it functions as part of a ubiquitin ligase complex, accepting ubiquitin from E2 conjugating enzymes to facilitate substrate transfer. The protein is characterized by multiple ankyrin repeats that mediate protein-protein interactions and an In-Between Ring fingers (IBR) domain typical of E3 ligases. While it shows low tissue specificity, it is essential for cellular homeostasis and protein turnover. Clinically, ANKIB1 is associated with Three M Syndrome 1, a rare autosomal recessive disorder characterized by severe pre- and postnatal growth retardation, skeletal abnormalities, and facial dysmorphism. |
