| 背景信息 | Spalt like transcription factor 4 (SALL4) is a zinc-finger transcription factor essential for the self-renewal and pluripotency of embryonic stem cells and hematopoietic progenitors. It exerts transcriptional control by interacting with epigenetic complexes, such as NuRD and LSD1, and binding to key pluripotency factors including OCT4, NANOG, and SOX2. SALL4 also modulates the Wnt/beta-catenin signaling pathway to regulate cell survival and development. Clinically, SALL4 is a well-established oncogene and diagnostic biomarker in various malignancies, including germ cell tumors, acute myeloid leukemia (AML), and acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Its overexpression is strongly linked to multidrug resistance, often through the upregulation of ABC transporters, and correlates with poor prognosis and disease relapse. Consequently, SALL4 is considered a significant therapeutic target for overcoming resistance in aggressive cancers. |
