| 背景信息 | Zinc finger MIZ-type containing 1 (ZMIZ1) is a multifunctional transcriptional coactivator and member of the PIAS protein family. It contains a BTB-POZ domain and thirteen zinc finger motifs that facilitate sequence-specific DNA binding and protein-protein interactions. ZMIZ1 regulates the activity of several key transcription factors, including the androgen receptor, Smad3/4, and p53, thereby influencing cell cycle progression, apoptosis, and sumoylation. It enhances the transcription of cell cycle regulators like p15 and p21 by recruiting histone acetyltransferases such as p300. Clinically, ZMIZ1 is involved in the pathogenesis of acute lymphoblastic leukemia through chromosomal translocations and collaborates with NOTCH1 in T-cell malignancies. It also promotes proliferation in colon cancer and is essential for proper vascular development during embryogenesis. |
