| 背景信息 | Bassoon presynaptic cytomatrix protein (BSN) is a large scaffolding protein essential for the structural and functional organization of the presynaptic active zone in neurons. It plays a central role in regulating synaptic vesicle clustering, neurotransmitter release, and compensatory endocytosis. BSN also modulates presynaptic proteostasis by interacting with SIAH1 for ubiquitination and ATG5 for autophagy. During development, it is trafficked to nascent synapses within Golgi-derived transport vesicles. Clinically, mutations in the BSN gene are linked to neurodevelopmental disorders, most notably epilepsy and autism spectrum disorder. These conditions arise from synaptic dysfunction and impaired organization of the cytomatrix, which disrupt normal neuronal communication and sensory processing. |
