背景信息Zinc finger RNA binding protein 2 (ZFR2) is a human protein characterized by C2H2 zinc finger structural motifs that facilitate interactions with various forms of RNA, including double-stranded and single-stranded RNA. As a member of the zinc finger protein family, ZFR2 is predicted to play a role in nucleic acid management, likely influencing RNA processing, stability, or alternative splicing. It shares paralogy with ZFR and is evolutionarily conserved across species, including mice and zebrafish. Although its specific physiological targets and mechanisms are still being characterized, its structural domains suggest a function in the post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression. ZFR2 is expressed in a variety of tissues, where it contributes to the complex network of RNA-binding proteins that maintain cellular transcriptomic integrity.
