| 背景信息 | Lysosomal-associated membrane protein 3 (LAMP3), also known as DC-LAMP, is a type I integral membrane protein encoded by the LAMP3 gene in humans. This protein is primarily expressed in mature dendritic cells and plays a crucial role in antigen processing and immune responses. Structurally, LAMP3 consists of approximately 416 amino acids, with most of the protein localized within lysosomes. It has been implicated in various diseases, including mumps and REM sleep behavior disorder, and is associated with the maturation of dendritic cells, enhancing their ability to present antigens to T-cells. Additionally, LAMP3 is involved in the inhibition of viral replication, particularly for Influenza A and mumps viruses, by facilitating key steps in their life cycles. Its expression is notably high during human fetal development, especially in lung tissue. |
