| 背景信息 | StAR related lipid transfer domain containing 13 (STARD13), also known as DLC2, is a multifunctional tumor suppressor that regulates cytoskeletal organization and cell dynamics. It features a central GTPase-activating protein (GAP) domain that specifically targets RhoA and Cdc42, along with an N-terminal SAM domain for protein interactions and a C-terminal START domain for lipid binding. By negatively regulating Rho GTPases, STARD13 inhibits cell proliferation, motility, and invasion while promoting focal adhesion turnover. Clinically, the underexpression of STARD13 is well-established in various malignancies, including hepatocellular carcinoma, breast, lung, and colon cancers. Its loss, often due to chromosomal deletions, correlates with increased tumor progression, invadopodia formation, and enhanced metastatic potential, making it a critical regulator of the malignant phenotype. |
