| 背景信息 | Negative regulator of ubiquitin like proteins 1 (NUB1) is a post-transcriptional regulator that suppresses the NEDD8 conjugation system and the ubiquitin-like protein FAT10. It functions by recruiting NEDD8, FAT10, and their respective conjugates to the 26S proteasome for efficient degradation, thereby modulating protein metabolism and MHC antigen presentation. NUB1 localizes to the nucleus and cytosol and is regulated non-proteolytically by the E3 ligase Mdm2. It also interacts with AIPL1 to influence specialized cellular pathways. Clinically, NUB1 is highly relevant to neurodegenerative diseases, as it specifically accumulates within alpha-synucleinopathy lesions, including Lewy bodies in Parkinson's disease and glial cytoplasmic inclusions in multiple system atrophy. |
