| 背景信息 | Napsin A aspartic peptidase (NAPSIN-A) is a pepsin-family aspartic proteinase expressed predominantly in type II pneumocytes of the lung and in the kidney. Synthesized as a zymogen, it is processed into its active form, where it is thought to participate in the maturation of surfactant proteins. Napsin A is a highly specific diagnostic marker in pathology; its expression is retained in primary lung adenocarcinomas and renal cell carcinomas but is absent in most other tumor types. This specificity makes Napsin A an invaluable tool in immunohistochemistry for differentiating lung primary tumors from metastases and identifying specific renal neoplasms. |
