| 背景信息 | Secretoglobin family 3A member 1 (SCGB3A1) is a small, secreted cytokine-like protein belonging to the secretoglobin family. Localized to the extracellular space, it is characterized by a leucine-rich, hydrophobic sequence typical of its family members. SCGB3A1 is primarily expressed in airway epithelial secretory cells, particularly within the trachea and bronchi, where it serves as a marker for secretory and Clara-cell lineage cells. Functionally, it is predicted to possess cytokine activity and participates in the regulation of cell growth, acting as an inhibitor of cell proliferation in vitro. Its expression pattern and biochemical properties suggest a role in maintaining airway homeostasis and modulating epithelial cell dynamics through the inhibition of growth-related signaling. |
