| 背景信息 | Tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 14 (TNFSF14), also known as LIGHT, is a cytokine that plays a crucial role in immune regulation and inflammation. It functions as a ligand for the TNF receptor superfamily member 14 (TNFRSF14), also known as HVEM, and is involved in T cell activation, proliferation, and cytokine production. TNFSF14 has been shown to promote apoptosis in tumor cells and can inhibit tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α)-mediated apoptosis in hepatocytes. Dysregulation of TNFSF14 is associated with several diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis and inflammatory bowel disease, where its altered signaling contributes to chronic inflammation. Additionally, elevated levels of TNFSF14 have been linked to certain cancers, such as diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, highlighting its potential role in tumorigenesis. |
