| 背景信息 | ATPase Na+/K+ transporting subunit beta 1 (ATP1B1) encodes the non-catalytic beta-1 glycoprotein subunit of the Na+/K+-ATPase, an essential plasma membrane pump. This enzyme hydrolyzes ATP to maintain the electrochemical gradients of sodium and potassium ions across the cell membrane, which are vital for osmoregulation, nerve excitability, and epithelial polarity. ATP1B1 is responsible for the proper assembly and trafficking of the alpha/beta heterodimer to the plasma membrane. Beyond its role in ion transport, it has been implicated in cell adhesion and the modulation of virus-triggered interferon induction through interactions with TRAF3 and TRAF6. Clinically, polymorphisms in the 3'UTR of the ATP1B1 gene are associated with essential hypertension, likely due to their effects on sodium handling and blood pressure regulation. The protein is ubiquitously expressed, with particularly high levels in the brain, heart, and kidney. |
