| 背景信息 | Capping actin protein, gelsolin like (Actin Regulatory Protein CAPG) is a calcium-sensitive member of the gelsolin family that regulates actin filament dynamics in non-muscle cells, particularly macrophages. It functions by reversibly capping the barbed ends of F-actin filaments in a manner regulated by calcium and phosphoinositides, thereby controlling actin-based motility without severing existing filaments. CAPG is involved in maintaining cell shape, endocytosis, and the regulation of cytoplasmic and nuclear structures through its interactions with DNA and the cytoskeleton. Clinically, CAPG is overexpressed in several malignancies, including gastric and breast cancers, where it promotes tumor cell invasion and metastasis through extensive actin remodeling. It is also implicated in the progression of fibrosis by enhancing cellular motility. |
