| 背景信息 | Mitotic spindle organizing protein 1 (MZT1) is a critical component of the centrosome that facilitates the localization of the gamma-tubulin ring complex, which is essential for microtubule nucleation and mitotic spindle organization. It localizes to centrosomes and spindles throughout the cell cycle, playing a key role in the recruitment of signaling molecules and the regulation of mitotic processes. MZT1 is involved in pathways governing the loss of NLP from mitotic centrosomes, ensuring proper spindle assembly and genomic stability during division. Clinically, mutations and dysregulation of MZT1 are primarily associated with Omodysplasia 1, a rare skeletal dysplasia characterized by short-limbed dwarfism. Additionally, its expression levels have been linked to the progression of lung acinar adenocarcinoma, highlighting its importance in both developmental biology and oncogenesis. |
