| 背景信息 | ARF GTPase activating protein 2 (ARFGAP2) is a cytosolic and Golgi-associated protein that functions as a GTPase-activating protein (GAP) for ARF1. By stimulating ARF1 GTP hydrolysis, it regulates COPI-mediated retrograde vesicular trafficking from the Golgi complex to the endoplasmic reticulum. ARFGAP2 is recruited to Golgi membranes via direct interaction with coatomer proteins rather than lipids. While its primary role is in intracellular transport, genetic studies have noted associations between ARFGAP2 and conditions such as combined oxidative phosphorylation deficiency and retinal disease, likely reflecting the downstream consequences of trafficking defects. |
