| 背景信息 | Chromodomain helicase DNA binding protein 6 (CHD6) is a DNA-dependent ATPase belonging to the SNF2/RAD54 helicase family. It functions as a chromatin remodeler that disrupts nucleosomes in a non-sliding manner to enhance DNA accessibility and regulate gene transcription. CHD6 is ubiquitously expressed in the nucleoplasm, where it colocalizes with RNA polymerase II and responds to DNA damage through poly(ADP-ribose)-dependent recruitment. It plays a significant role in the oxidative stress response by interacting with NFE2L2 to activate antioxidant genes, thereby promoting cell survival. Additionally, CHD6 can repress viral replication, such as that of the influenza virus, by localizing to inactive chromatin. Its ability to modulate chromatin architecture makes it a key regulator of the cellular response to genomic instability. |
