| 背景信息 | GIPC PDZ domain containing family member 2 (GIPC2) is a PDZ domain-containing protein that facilitates protein-protein interactions and is localized to extracellular exosomes. It is primarily expressed in the ascending colon and kidney, where it functions as an endocrine-specific tumor suppressor. GIPC2 interacts with Fzd7 to modulate WNT signaling pathways, which can influence cellular proliferation and metastasis. It is a paralog of GIPC1 and is involved in maintaining cellular polarity and trafficking. Clinically, GIPC2 is associated with Waardenburg syndrome type 4A, a condition characterized by sensorineural hearing loss and pigmentary abnormalities resulting from defects in melanocyte and enteric neuron development. It is also linked to pheochromocytoma, a catecholamine-secreting tumor of the adrenal glands that leads to severe hypertension and other metabolic disturbances. |
